An original German belt buckle for enlisted ranks and NCOs of the Reich Labour Service (RAD) struck from high-grade aluminum.
The obverse displays the central RAD symbol of a spade with a swastika and wheat ears enclosed within a circular oak leaf wreath on a pebbled field.
This specimen features its original leather tab in excellent condition securely stitched to the buckle's internal attachment bar.
The leather tab bears a clear oval embossed maker mark for F.W. ASSMANN & SÖHNE LÜDENSCHEID and is dated 1938.
The aluminum body shows sharp crisp details and a natural matte patina consistent with an uncleaned historical original.
The internal fastening mechanism with the dual-prong assembly remains fully functional and in its original configuration.
This buckle is a textbook example of high-quality pre-war production reflecting the superior craftsmanship of the Assmann workshop.
