Höller F. W., Solingen

The company F. W. Höller (fze), Waffenfabrik was established in 1866 in Solingen. Boasting a long-standing history in high-quality blade and cutlery craftsmanship, the firm significantly expanded its manufacturing scope during the Third Reich era to include contract production of political and military edged weapons, establishing itself as a premier manufacturer of SA service daggers (Sturmabteilung), NSKK daggers, and SS daggers. Situated in Solingen, the manufacturer operated in the absolute center of German blade craft. No further industrial activity was documented after World War II.

In 1935, the factory was officially assigned the RZM code M7/33 for the manufacturing of NSDAP political organization daggers. Furthermore, the company held the license code 1198/##/SS, specifically designated for official Schutzstaffel dagger production contracts. F.W. Höller manufactured an estimated total of approximately 1,000 SA service daggers. This production run grants these historical pieces a 3.5/5 rarity rating (moderately rare) among advanced military antiques collectors. These daggers feature solid nickel-silver fittings or nickel-plated grips and bear the iconic etched blade motto "Alles für Deutschland". Crossguards are historically documented with specific SA group distribution markings, notably including He (Hessen) and Wm (Westmark).

The highly distinctive and world-famous trademark of F.W. Höller shows the company name "F.W. Hoeller Solingen" paired with a central thermometer symbol, which beautifully represented industrial precision and exceptional quality. On highly sought-after transitional models produced between 1936 and 1939, this traditional thermometer maker mark was etched alongside the official RZM circle emblem and the code M7/33. Today, surviving products from this maker represent an essential, scarce chapter of the Solingen cutlery history, making them excellent reference pieces for a blank weapons encyclopedia.

F.W. Höller (fze) (RZM M7/33) is an 1866-established Solingen maker. Produced approx. 1,000 SA daggers (3.5/5 rarity rating) featuring an iconic trademark with a thermometer symbol.
