Original service belt buckle used by members of the SA (Sturmabteilung) or NSKK (Nationalsozialistisches Kraftfahrkorps) formations.
Two-piece construction: brass body with a separately applied and soldered central medallion.
Finish: nickel-plated surface with visible local wear revealing the underlying brass base.
Reverse: features two distinct solder points securing the medallion and a classic catch for the belt hook.
Fastening mechanism: steel dual-prong bar mounted on an axis, fully functional.
Condition: good, with natural patina and signs of use.
Unmarked example, typical for early production runs.
Historical context:
Early SA and NSKK buckles were characterized by high craftsmanship and a two-piece design. Before the full implementation of the RZM quality control system in the mid-1930s, many manufacturers produced buckles without official code markings. This model, featuring the static swastika design, was the standard equipment for the "Brownshirts" during the rise of the NSDAP and the early years of the Third Reich.
