The company P. D. Lüneschloss, Stahlwarenfabrik was established in 1810 in Solingen. Originally founded as a traditional cutlery manufacturer, the company successfully diversified its portfolio into fine edged weapons manufacturing as early as 1848. During the Third Reich era, the firm expanded its production scope significantly to meet the requirements of paramilitary and political organizations, establishing itself as a dedicated manufacturer of SA service daggers (Sturmabteilung), Hitler Youth (HJ) knives, and SS daggers. Situated in Solingen, the manufacturer operated in the absolute center of German blade craft.
In 1935, the factory was officially assigned the RZM code M7/14 for the manufacturing of NSDAP political organization daggers. P. D. Lüneschloss manufactured an estimated total of only 1,000 SA service daggers. This extremely limited production run grants these historical pieces an exceptional rarity rating of 4/5 (highly rare) among advanced military antiques collectors. These daggers feature premium solid nickel-silver fittings and bear the iconic etched blade motto "Alles für Deutschland". The factory's wartime portfolio also included HJ knives bearing the etched motto "Blut und Ehre!", sought-after transitional SS daggers, and standard commercial steel goods.
The distinctive trademark or logo of P. D. Lüneschloss featured a completely clean, minimalist layout. It typically consisted of the text "P.D. Lüneschloss Solingen" etched directly onto the lower part of the blade near the crossguard in a plain, straightforward font. This functional maker mark emphasized the manufacturer's practical orientation and makes their products highly recognizable in the collector's scene today.
