The Gebrüder Lützenkirchen, Stahlwarenfabrik, based in Solingen, was already an established name in the industry by 1920, renowned for producing high-quality straight razors, stag-gripped hunting knives, cutlery, and scissors. During the Nazi era, the firm expanded its manufacturing scope to include contract production of political edged weapons, focusing on early SA service daggers. As the firm did not hold an RZM license, their production was confined to the early phase of NSDAP equipment procurement.
The company manufactured an estimated total of approximately 1,000 SA service daggers. This extremely limited production run grants these historical pieces an exceptional 5/5 rarity rating (extremely rare) among military antiques collectors. These daggers are recognized for their high-quality craftsmanship, solid nickel-silver fittings, and the iconic etched blade motto "Alles für Deutschland".
Their hallmark, the "Seehund" trademark registered in 1922—depicting a knife cutting into an anvil—is a legendary symbol of Solingen craftsmanship. Today, surviving products from this maker are among the most coveted collectibles for enthusiasts, representing a scarce and significant chapter of Third Reich-era manufacturing history.
