SA Memorial Wrestling Medal Gau XIII Südwest – Marked Beckerle – Cased

Original German non-portable presentation award medal issued by the National Socialist League of the Reich for Physical Exercise.
This specific regional sports award was officially designated for District 13, marked on the lower perimeter border text as GAU XIII SÜDWEST.
The upper obverse perimeter displays a crisp, raised capital-letter organization inscription: NATIONALSOZ. REICHSBUND FÜR LEIBESÜBUNGEN.
The center highlights a wide horizontal banner bearing a commemorative German text: Zur Erinnerung an einen Städte-Wettkampf im Ringen in großer Zeit.
Below the main inscription, the official institutional titles are clearly present: Der Sportbereichsführer and SA Obergruppenführer.
The banner showcases a distinct facsimile signature of the high-ranking party official and paramilitary leader Adolf Beckerle.
The main design features a striking row of athletic figures marching in unison set against a stylized skyline showcasing factory towers.
The bottom section incorporates the official SA sports emblem depicting a stylized early pattern eagle clutching a wreathed swastika.
The medal is struck from a zinc alloy base metal retaining its genuine bronzed finish with light natural wear and period patina.
Accompanying the medal is its authentic presentation box finished in red leatherette paper with a contrasting dark blue velvet interior lining.
Complete cased presentation packages of these regional athletic medals represent highly sought-after, scarce items for advanced military award collectors.
