Specific variant for Luftwaffe personnel, identified by the silver flying eagle miniature attached to the ribbon.
The reverse features a central number "4" surrounded by a dense oak leaf wreath tied at the top and bottom.
The obverse depicts the Wehrmacht eagle with down-swept wings and the inscription "Treue Dienste in der Wehrmacht" in Gothic script.
Constructed from silvered base metal (iron or tombac), preserved in very good condition with intact silver finish.
Suspended from an original cornflower blue ribbon with a correctly mounted miniature.
This item is a textbook example of the official military long service award system utilized between 1936 and 1945.
