An original commemorative event badge (tinnie) issued for the Frankentag rally in 1936. The item is precision die-struck from aluminum, ensuring both lightness and sharp detail retention.
Obverse: Features a stylized shield topped with an eagle with outspread wings. In the center is an oak wreath with a swastika, from which flames emerge (a bonfire motif). The bottom of the shield bears the raised inscription: "Frankentag 1936".
Reverse: Clearly marked by the manufacturer: "LAUER NÜRNBERG-BERLIN". It is fitted with a vertical steel pin back mounted on a sturdy hinge.
Condition: In very good collectible condition. The aluminum retains its natural bright luster with a delicate patina. No signs of metal oxidation; the eagle's details and the lettering remain crisp and fully legible. The pin is functional.
Historical Information
This badge was issued for the annual gathering of National Socialists from the Franconia district, held at Hesselberg mountain (known as Frankentag). The 1936 event was a major regional demonstration promoting "Blood and Soil" ideology. Frankentag was closely associated with Gauleiter Julius Streicher. The bonfire motif on the badge refers to traditional Germanic summer solstice rituals, which were a focal point of these rallies.
