Visible traces of long-term storage and use attest to its historical authenticity.

The Commemorative Badge of the Greater Poland Army was established on March 14, 1920, to commemorate service in the Greater Poland Army during the period from the outbreak of the Greater Poland Uprising (December 27, 1918) to its integration with the Polish Army in 1920. The symbolism of the badge refers to the fight for independence and freedom of the Greater Poland region.
