An authentic German marching drum issued to the Hitler Youth organization (Landsknechttrommel type), preserved in complete, original period condition and offered in a highly desirable configuration with its dedicated accessories. The obverse features the iconic, wide wooden tension hoops beautifully painted with the organizational red-and-white alternating triangle motif. The main cylindrical shell is constructed from rolled brass-plated sheet metal held tightly by heavy-duty steel tensioning rods and threaded bolts. This specific layout is exceptionally scarce on the militaria market as it includes its original pair of matching wooden drumsticks, whose butt ends are reinforced with thick metal sleeves. The base of these metal ferrules features an integrated square-recessed socket specifically designed to lock onto the square heads of the drum's tension rods, serving as a built-in tuning key for field adjustments. The natural calfskin drumheads remain entirely original, showing minor field wear, typical surface staining, and age-related drying, which together with the dark oxidation and surface rust on the metal stick fittings and drum hardware confirms the genuine pre-war provenance of this field gear.
