An original German Luftwaffe steel belt buckle produced by the prestigious Berg & Nolte firm in an outstanding state of preservation.
The reverse of the buckle body features a crisp stamped manufacturer code B & N 41 located under the catch bar identifying the year of production as 1941.
The item retains nearly 100% of its original factory-applied blaugrau (blue-grey) lacquer finish which is exceptional for steel variants.
This buckle comes with its original factory-stitched leather tab which also bears a clear oval Berg & Nolte Lüdenscheid 1941 maker mark.
The obverse showcases a 2nd pattern Luftwaffe eagle with sharp details and no signs of wear or field use on the high points of the design.
The internal fastening mechanism with the dual-prong assembly and catch is fully functional and in its original untouched condition.
A double-marked specimen in near-mint condition represents a premium investment-grade piece for any serious collection of Third Reich field gear.
